AI is not challenging the foundations of our society; it is merely providing a superior, high-resolution polish to the existing veneer of inequality. It is the perfect ideological solvent, dissolving accountability into abstraction.

The true threat is not that the machine will seize the controls, but that we will willingly hand them over, applauding the smooth, dark efficiency of the transition. The core tension that remains unresolved is this: If the ultimate utility of the most advanced technology is to create systems so complex that their governing logic becomes a shielded secret, how can democracy—a system predicated on contestable transparency—survive the next iteration of optimization?
