FunBlocks AIFlow Now Supports Web Search - Get Real-Time Information for Better AI Results

We're excited to announce that FunBlocks AIFlow now supports Web Search mode, bringing real-time information retrieval directly into your AI workflow. This powerful new feature enhances your brainstorming sessions, research tasks, and content creation by connecting AI assistants with live search engine results.

What is Web Search Mode?​

Web Search mode enables FunBlocks AIFlow to automatically search the internet when answering your questions or exploring topics. Instead of relying solely on the AI model's training data, AIFlow now combines its intelligence with current information from search engines, ensuring you get the most up-to-date and accurate responses.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have a knowledge cutoff date—they only know information up to when they were last trained. Web Search mode solves two critical limitations:

1. Overcome Knowledge Cutoff​

Get information about events, developments, and news that happened after the AI model's training period. Stay current with the latest trends, research, and breaking news.

2. Fill Knowledge Gaps​

Access specialized, niche, or rapidly changing information that may not be well-represented in the AI's training data. Perfect for technical research, market analysis, and emerging topics.

How to Enable Web Search in FunBlocks AIFlow​

Getting started with Web Search is simple:

Click the Web Search button located at the top of your Canvas. This activates the search functionality for your current session.

Step 2: Select a Compatible Model​

Once Web Search is enabled, choose from Gemini series models, including:

  • Gemini-2.5-flash (fast responses with search)
  • Gemini-2.5-pro (advanced reasoning with search)
  • Other Gemini models

Step 3: Use AIFlow Normally​

Continue using any of FunBlocks AIFlow's AI task assistants as usual. The AI will automatically perform search engine queries when needed to provide you with enriched, fact-checked, and current information.
